RANGE OPERATION & SAFETY RULES

PLEASE READ OVER ALL OF OUR RANGE SAFETY RULES. IF YOU DO NOT READ THEM CAREFULLY AND OBSERVE THEM WHILE AT OUR FACILITY YOU WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE AND BE SUBJECT TO HAVING YOUR MEMBERSHIP REVOKED.   IF YOU WITNESS UNSAFE BEHAVIOR ON THE RANGE PLEASE REPORT IT IMMEDIATELY TO THE NEAREST RANGE OFFICER AS SAFETY IS EVERYONE'S RESPONSIBILITY.  IT IS NOT OUR INTENTION TO INCONVENIENCE ANYONE IN ANYWAY, BUT THE SAFETY OF ALL OF OUR MEMBERS AND STAFF IS OUR MAJOR CONCERN.

TRAIN 2 DEFEND OPERATION & SAFETY RULES:

        • ALL FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL LAWS GOVERNING FIREARMS MUST BE OBEYED.
        • TRAIN 2 DEFEND RESERVES THE RIGHT TO AUDIO AND VIDEO RECORD ALL PERSONS ENTERING UPON THE PROPERTY.
        • NOBODY WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE FACILITY IF THERE IS EVEN A HINT OF YOU BEING IMPAIRED BY THE USE OF ALCOHOL OR DRUGS.
        • WE ARE A SMOKE FREE FACILITY EXCEPT IN THE DESIGNATED AREA.  DO NOT SMOKE AROUND OR NEAR THE BUILDING AS THIS PRESENTS A FIRE HAZARD.
        • NO CAMERAS OR RECORDING DEVICES OF ANY TYPE ARE ALLOWED IN THE FACILITY WITHOUT PERMISSION OF THE RANGE OFFICER PRIOR TO USE.
        • WE DO NOT ALLOW THE USE OF ANY OFFENSIVE LANGUAGE, ABUSIVE BEHAVIOR OR ACT IN A MANNER THAT WOULD BE A DISTRACTION OR A NUISANCE TO OTHER MEMBERS.
        • FOR THE SAFETY OF ALL MEMBERS AND STAFF YOU MUST BE ABLE TO SPEAK AND UNDERSTAND ENGLISH SO THAT YOU CAN RECEIVE RANGE COMMANDS.
        • NO LOADED FIREARMS ARE TO ENTER THE FACILITY UNLESS YOU ARE CARRYING CONCEALED AND THEN IT IS TO REMAIN IN YOUR HOLSTER AT ALL TIME UNLESS ON THE FIRING LINE. 
        • ALL FIREARMS ARE TO BE TRANSPORTED INTO THE FACILITY IN A RANGE BAG, A CASE OR IN YOUR HOLSTER IF YOU ARE CARRYING CONCEALED. 
        • PLEASE CHECK IN WITH THE RANGE OFFICER TO RECEIVE YOUR LANE ASSIGNMENT. THEY WILL ASK YOU FOR YOUR RANGE CARD AND TO SIGN IN. YOU CAN THEN PURCHASE YOUR TARGETS, AMMO AND ANY OTHER SUPPLIES YOU MAY NEED. 
        • ONLY MEMBERS AND GUESTS WHO HAVE APPLIED FOR A 1 DAY GUEST MEMBERSHIP ARE ALLOWED ON THE RANGE. IF YOU ARE WATCHING WE ARE GLAD TO HAVE YOU BUT YOU MUST REMAIN IN OUR OBSERVATION AREA BEHIND THE BALLISTIC GLASS. MEMBERS ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR GUEST. THEY ARE ONLY ALLOWED TO FIRE ON YOUR ASSIGNED LANE.
        • IF YOU ARE A "MARKSMAN" MEMBER OR "LE/FIRE/EMS/MILITARY" MEMBER AND INTEND TO FIRE OUTSIDE AMMO OR HAND LOADS PLEASE PRESENT YOUR AMMO TO THE RANGE OFFICER FOR INSPECTION. IF YOU ARE FIRING HAND LOADS THEY MAY ONLY BE USED IN YOUR FIREARM. WE ONLY ALLOW HANDGUN CALIBERS & SHOTGUN ROUNDS TO BE FIRED IN THE RANGE. WE DO NOT ALLOW THE FIRING OF PISTOL GRIPS SHOTGUNS, ANY BOTTLE NECKED, HIGH POWER, TRACER, STEEL CORE, ARMOR PIERCING, INCENDIARY, EXPLOSIVE OR BLACK POWDER CARTRIDGES OR FIREARMS IN THE RANGE.
        • IF YOU INTEND TO FIRE A CLASS III WEAPON YOU MUST NOTIFY THE RANGE OFFICER AT CHECK IN. YOU WILL NEED TO HAVE ALL YOUR PROPER PERMITS AND PAPERWORK WITH YOU AT ALL TIMES. 
        • WE DO RENT FIREARMS FOR USE IN THE RANGE. WE WILL ONLY RENT THE FIREARM TO YOU IF YOU CAN SHOW THAT YOU ARE CAPABLE OF OPERATING THE FIREARM IN A SAFE MANNER.  IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO DO SO YOU MUST PAY TO HAVE A RANGE OFFICER ON THE FIRING LINE WITH YOU DURING THE TIME YOU INTEND TO USE THE FIREARM OR SIGN UP FOR OUR NEXT BASIC PISTOL CLASS.
        • PRIOR TO ENTERING THE FIRST DOOR TO THE RANGE FOYER YOU MUST APPLY PROPER EYE AND HEARING PROTECTION AND THEY MUST BE WORN THE ENTIRE TIME YOU ARE IN THE RANGE. THERE IS NO FOOD OR DRINK ALLOWED INSIDE THE RANGE. NO ONE UNDER THE AGE OF 21 IS ALLOWED ON THE RANGE UNLESS ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT.
        • WHEN YOU ENTER THE RANGE IT IS ALWAYS TO BE CONSIDERED "HOT" UNLESS DECLARED OTHERWISE. THIS MEANS THAT OTHER MEMBERS MAY COMMENCE FIRE AT ANY TIME AND YOU ARE FREE TO HANDLE YOUR FIREARM. 
        • ANY COMMAND BY A RANGE OFFICER OR STAFF MEMBER MUST BE OBEYED WITHOUT QUESTION IMMEDIATELY.
        • ANYONE MAY GIVE THE COMMAND "CEASE FIRE" IN THE EVENT IF AN EMERGENCY. IF THE COMMAND IS GIVEN EVERYONE ON THE RANGE MUST STOP SHOOTING IMMEDIATELY. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO UNLOAD OR CLEAR YOUR WEAPON. IMMEDIATELY PLACE YOUR FIREARM ON THE BENCH IN YOUR BOOTH WITH THE MUZZLE POINTING DOWN RANGE AND AWAIT FURTHER INSTRUCTION FROM THE RANGE OFFICER. 
        • UPON ENTERING THE RANGE PROCEED TO YOUR ASSIGNED LANE AND PLACE YOUR FIREARMS AND AMMO IN YOUR ASSIGNED BOOTH. DO NOT EVER CHANGE LANES WITHOUT ASKING AND RECEIVING PERMISSION FROM THE RANGE OFFICER. READ OVER THE OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS IN THE BOOTH THAT SHOWS YOU HOW TO OPERATE THE COMPUTERIZED CONTROL PANEL.
        • ONCE YOU ARE IN YOUR BOOTH YOU MAY REMOVE ONE FIREARM FROM YOUR CASE. IF YOU HAVE ADDITIONAL FIREARMS LEAVE THEM IN YOUR RANGE BAG, CASE OR ON THE BENCH IN YOUR BOOTH. IF YOU ARE SHOOTING MULTIPLE CALIBERS ONLY OPEN ONE BOX AT A TIME SO THAT YOU DO NOT MIX AMMO ON THE FIRING LINE.  
        • ATTENTION MEMBERS DO NOT EVER TOUCH ANY OTHER MEMBERS FIREARMS WHILE IN THE RANGE. IF A MEMBER HAS A MALFUNCTION THAT THEY ARE UNABLE TO CLEAR NOTIFY THE RANGE OFFICER AND THEY WILL ASSIST THEM.  ANY VIOLATION OF THIS POLICY WILL RESULT IN A REVOKED MEMBERSHIP.
        • ALL TARGETS USED ON THE RANGE MUST BE PURCHASED FROM TRAIN 2 DEFEND. MAKE SURE THAT YOU HAVE SELECTED A TARGET THAT IS THE APPROPRIATE SIZE, PLACED AT EYE LEVEL AND A PROPER DISTANCE FOR YOUR SKILL LEVEL. THIS WILL ENSURE THAT YOUR FIRED ROUNDS DO NOT STRIKE THE FLOOR, CEILING OR TARGET CARRIERS. FIRING AT TARGETS THAT ARE NOT IN YOUR LANE"CROSS FIRE" IS DANGEROUS AND NEVER ALLOWED. ADDITIONALLY THE INTENTIONAL FIRING OF A ROUND THAT RESULTS IN THE BULLET STRIKING ANYTHING OTHER THAN THE TARGET OR BACKSTOP MAY RESULT IN A DAMAGE OR REPAIR FINE AND/OR YOUR REMOVAL FROM THE RANGE. ANY FINES OR REMOVAL FROM THE RANGE IS AT THE SOLE DISCRETION OF THE RANGE OFFICER AND THE RANGE OFFICERS WORD IS FINAL.
        • NEVER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES ARE YOU TO GO FORWARD OF THE FIRING LINE UNLESS ACCOMPANIEBY THE RANGE OFFICER AND THE RANGE HAS HAD A "CEASE FIRE" DECLARED.
        • ALL LOADING AND UNLOADING OF YOUR FIREARM MUST OCCUR ONLY IN YOUR BOOTH. MAKE SURE THAT THE AMMO YOU ARE USING IS COMPATIBLE WITH YOUR FIREARM PRIOR TO LOADING YOUR WEAPON. 
        • ANYTIME YOU TRANSFER A FIREARM TO ANOTHER INDIVIDUAL LISTED ON YOUR MEMBERSHIP, IT MUST BE UNLOAD PRIOR TO LEAVING YOUR BOOTH AND THE ACTION OPEN.  DO NOT SHARE YOUR WEAPONS WITH OTHER MEMBERS WHILE IN THE RANGE.
        • ONCE YOU HAVE LOADED YOUR FIREARM YOU MAY COMMENCE FIRE WHEN YOU ARE READY. KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER AND OUTSIDE THE TRIGGER GUARD UNTIL YOU ARE ON TARGET AND READY TO FIRE. WE DO NOT ALLOW ANY UNSUPERVISED FIRING FROM A HOLSTER, FROM A KNEELING POSITION OR OFF THE BENCH IN YOUR BOOTH. IF YOU WISH TO FIRE YOUR WEAPON IN THESE MANNERS YOU MUST REQUEST PERMISSION FROM THE RANGE OFFICER. CROSS DRAW AND SHOULDER HOLSTERS MAY NOT BE USED ON THE RANGE.
        • MAKE SURE THAT WHEN YOU ARE FIRING THE WEAPON THAT YOU'RE RATE OF FIRE IS EQUAL TO YOUR SKILL LEVEL. ANY RECKLESS FIRING OF YOUR WEAPON WILL RESULT IN YOUR REMOVAL FROM THE RANGE FOR THE SAFETY OF ALL OF OUR MEMBERS. 
        • IN THE EVENT OF A MALFUNCTION, JAM OR FAILURE TO FEED MAKE SURE YOU ARE KEEPING YOUR FIREARM POINTED DOWN RANGE. WAIT AT LEAST 30 SECONDS BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO CLEAR YOUR FIREARM OR NOTIFYING THE RANGE OFFICER. IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO CLEAR YOUR WEAPON THEN YOU ARE TO LEAVE YOUR WEAPON POINTED DOWN RANGE ON THE BENCH AND NOTIFY THE RANGE OFFICER VIA THE INTERCOM FOR HELP. DO NOT EVER REMOVE YOUR WEAPON FROM YOUR BOOTH.
        • AFTER THE COMPLETION OF FIRING MAKE SURE YOU COMPLETELY UNLOAD YOUR FIREARM INCLUDING ALL MAGAZINES AND LEAVE THE ACTION OPEN AND PLACE FIREARM IN YOUR CASE OR RANGE BAG. WE DO NOT ALLOW FIREARMS TO BE CLEANED IN THE RANGE. PLEASE TAKE DOWN ALL YOUR USED TARGETS AND PLACE IN THE TRASH CANS.  IF YOU ARE FIRING YOUR OWN AMMO YOU CAN PICK UP YOUR BRASS AND TAKE IT WITH YOU. IF YOU ARE FIRING RANGE AMMO PLACE ALL YOUR EMPTY BRASS & SHOTGUN SHELLS IN THE DESIGNATED CONTAINERS.  DO NOT USE YOUR HANDS THERE ARE BROOMS AND DUSTPANS AVAILABLE TO SWEEP YOUR AREA.
        • IMMEDIATELY AFTER SHOOTING OR CLEANING ANY FIREARMS ALWAYS WASH YOUR HANDS AND FACE WITH SOAP AND WATER!
        • PRIOR TO LEAVING THE RANGE PLEASE REPORT BACK TO THE RANGE OFFICER AND THEY WILL RETURN YOUR RANGE CARD BACK TO YOU. IF YOU HAVE ANY CONCERNS OR RECOMMENDATIONS PLEASE FEEL FREE TO SHARE THEM WITH US. WE ARE OPEN TO SERVE OUR MEMBERS AND VALUE YOUR FEED BACK.
